What is Qigong?

Qigong means "energy work" .  It brings together mindful movements, breath and the imagery of nature to cultivate more energy, heal the organs, expand the breath and build immunity and strength.  Coming together to "gong" or work your qi (energy) in a group can bring a powerful healing force to our suffering world. 

Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome!  Forms are easy to learn and practice can be adapted to seated or standing and particular medical conditions.

Regular and consistent practice builds powerful healing and develops keen attention to what feeds your body, mind, heart and soul.

Socially Distant Community Qigong  ($10-15 per class - sliding scale)
Socially distant 
qigong practice is led in Brentwood Park, SE 60th, South of SE Duke (Tuesdays 9-10 am).

Meet me near the tennis courts to unwind. No experience necessary. Wear comfortable (i.e.: stretchy or loose but comfortable) clothing. Bring your own water bottle and dress in layers to accommodate changes in outdoor temperatures. If you need supportive shoes, please wear them.

Personalized Medical Qigong- ZOOM Telehealth sessions ($55 per hour)

Medical Qigong can be customized for complex, chronic conditions, including insomnia, anxiety, muscle rigidity and pain, depression, anger, back or neck pain, headaches and more.   Sessions include intake, discussion of your unique concerns and a customized qigong protocol that you can practice at home.  Bring questions and concerns and we will work together to empower your healing through movement, breathing, intention, and self-massage.

What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a gentle way to seek out areas of resistance and meet  blockages with firm and persistent, but kind attention.   The Yin approach is comprised of poses and breathing that improve flexibility and strength without pain.  Regular practice can help you melt adhesions and dissolve sore spots.  Over time, Yoga builds strength, confidence and resolve for injury recovery and rehabilitation.  Drop in to any class to improve your mood and find quick and effective stress relief.  Beginners and Experienced students welcome
